So far this year, four Regional IR Get-Togethers have taken place in Heerbrugg, Bern, Basel and Geneva - with a pleasing response. Although the majority of our members are based in the Zurich region, the IR community is also active and committed in other parts of the country.
These meetings offer our members and other investor relations managers from SIX-listed companies the opportunity to network regionally and discuss current topics in a relaxed atmosphere. Especially in times of numerous virtual formats, the personal exchange - be it over a beer or a glass of wine - is particularly valuable.
After we launched the regional chapters last year together with SIX and the number of participants was still manageable, this year's meetings met with much greater interest.
Insights into companies & inspiring discussions
SFS (Heerbrugg): A highlight was the tour of the production halls with a live demonstration of the cold pressing of screws - an impressive insight into the industrial precision and innovative strength of SFS.
Valiant (Berne): The focus was on the question of how to target new investors. The discussion was lively and showed how relevant this topic is for many IR managers.
Sandoz (Basel): The IR overview focusing on the spin-off led to a lively discussion - especially on the topic of investor contact and targeting, with a particular focus on the North American market.
SGS (Geneva): After an exciting discussion about investor conferences, hedge funds and other typical topics of the IR community, SGS invited us to a stylish aperitif on their sunny terrace - with a unique view of the Geneva water jet.
Outlook
The positive response motivates us to continue the series in the coming year and expand it to other locations. During this year's events, companies in Basel and Geneva have already signaled their willingness to host future Chapters / IR Get-Togethers - stay tuned!
A big thank you to our hosts this year: SFS, Valiant, Sandoz and SGS. They not only opened their doors, but also provided valuable insights and discussions - and thus laid the foundation for many more inspiring IR get-togethers.
